Fears for Stormzy’s relationship with Maya Jama after he unfollows her on Instagram
STORMZY has sparked rumours he and long-term girlfriend Maya Jama have broken up after it was revealed he had unfollowed her on social media.
The rapper, 24, disappeared from the 23-year-old TV presenter's list of Instagram followers, fuelling speculation the couple had split.
However, the musician appears to have re-followed the model later today as he is now visible in her list of followers once more.
Representatives for Maya have declined to comment on suggestions the pair have parted ways.
Stormzy last posted on Instagram about his other half in late January to mark their third anniversary.
On that occasion he shared a sweet snap of the couple looking loved-up in which he wore a crown while she clutched a pint of beer.
Stormzy captioned the image: "3 years with the love of my life ❤"
Maya has continued to follow her boyfriend on Instagram.
She last featured him on her Instagram page in early February in a video during a trip to Los Angeles.
The pair were last seen together in public at the Brit Awards in February, where Maya was spotted being barged out the way by excited pals after Stormzy was awarded two gongs.
As well as making one of the most talked-about performances of the night, the rapper won awards for British Male Solo Artist and British Album of the Year.
The couple went public with their relationship in December 2016 after choosing to keep it out of the public eye for some time.
Stormzy has opened up in the past about marriage in the future with Maya.
Last month he told the Sunday Mirror: 'I'm still so young but I want to propose, it's going to happen and I will do it right. She is so sick, she is the best.'
Maya has also recently opened up about her relationship with the star in an interview with Women's Health magazine.
She said: “We’re click-bait, I get that, and I find it ‘whatever’ these days.
"It used to wind me up, but I’m super-aware that as soon as you go out with somebody who’s doing something incredible, then that’s all they want to attach to your name.”
She added: “You know, I’ve got this thing where, if I don’t feel 100%, I count my blessings. I’m like ‘OK, what are you thankful for? You’ve got your health, a nice job, you’re not starving, your family’s healthy, blah blah blah…”
