Bruno was convicted of two charges of sexual assault in November following a drunken night out with friends.

The actor confessed to groping two women in a Manchester nightclub.

Bruno gave a tearful apology following his appearance in the dock.

He told The Sunday Mirror: “I have no excuse, no one forced me to drink to such an extreme, but it is hard to explain why I would do anything as dreadful as that.

“It must have been awful for those women, and I am ashamed of myself. I’m truly sorry.

“I sincerely apologise to the women, from the bottom of my heart. I promise I will never do anything like that again.”

As he was spotted close to his home in Manchester, Bruno struggled to raise a smile.

He kept his head down as he walked out of the agents before heading to his car and driving off.

Bruno is currently serving a 12 month community order involving a curfew and electronic tag.

Since his conviction, Bruno has told his pals of his plans to move on with his life and revealed earlier this year he was hoping to return to showbiz as a director.

A source told The Sun Online: “Bruno knows he'll never act in any meaningful way again and that is the price he will pay for his actions.

“But he feels he's got so much to give in the future.

“He's also a talented writer and knows the business very well and has some very good skills as a director.”
