ALBERT HAIR

Michelle Ryan has exactly the same hairstyle as her EastEnders character Zoe Slater 13 years after she quit the soap

Actress appears to have gone back to her Walford roots as she is spotted with the same look she had over a decade ago when she played Zoe on Albert Square

MICHELLE Ryan may have left EastEnders 13 years ago but it seems she’s still channelling her character Zoe Slater's hairstyle.

The 31-year-old actress was pictured in London earlier today wearing her long brunette locks in exactly the same style we saw on Albert Square in the early noughties.

Michelle also looked as though she’d raided some of Zoe’s old wardrobe as her pink sweatshirt looked very similar to one she had once wore on screen.

She first appeared on our screens in the BBC soap in 2000 and went on to become a fan favourite who was best known for her iconic slanging match with her on-screen mum Kat, played by Jessie Wallace.

After she quit, many hoped Michelle would return to reprise her role in Walford but she shot down any speculation last year.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Michelle explained: “It's not part of my life any more, I won't be going back.

“There will be some actresses out there that are desperate for that break.”

After trying her luck in Hollywood and appearing in a number of independent films, Michelle has now returned to the cast of Doctor Who.

There is a twist however, with Michelle’s character Lady Christina de Souza, making her comeback in a series of audio productions.

When she last appeared on the cult series, Michelle’s character vanished after flying off on a double decker bus.

The four episode audio series will allow fans to find out exactly what happened to her.

Speaking about the role, Michelle told : “Being asked to revisit the role of Lady Christina was a very easy decision. Adventure, a sunny climate and mind-boggling scenarios are included in the scripts, everything I remember of my Doctor Who experience.

“Alas no David Tennant, but there’s a host of new characters to help along the way. I love that we get to see a little more of her heart in the stories, that she does care about the greater good whilst also satisfying her curiosity for life.”
