Tears on The Voice UK as the first four contestants make it through to the live semi-finals
In the first of the two knock-out rounds, eight singers were sent home and four made it one step closer to the final
FOUR acts on The Voice UK have made it through to the show's live semi-finals.
The coaches had three acts performing each in tonight's knock-out round, and picked one act to take through to the semi-finals and two to go home.
Jennifer Hudson opted to save 16-year-old Gayatri Nair over Jake Benson and Ross Anderson.
The young star performed This Is Me from The Greatest Showman soundtrack and stunned the judges.
Olly Murs put through 27-year-old singer Lauren Bannon, over rivals Kade Smith and Holly Ellison.
All coaches were joined by a celebrity guest in rehearsals to offer advice, with Olly being joined by R&B star Craig David.
Will.i.am - who was joined by his Black Eyed Peas bandmates apl.de.ap and Taboo - picked Tai Bantick, after she performed a dancehall take on Dolly Parton hit, Jolene.
Tai had chosen the song herself and said she had a special arrangement of it that she wanted to perform.
Sir Tom Jones - who was joined in rehearsals by Kylie Minogue - saved Lucy Milburn, who had previously auditioned for Britain's Got Talent.
The rising star belted out Gravity by Sara Bareilles.
