The Strictly Come Dancing professional started his segment by talking about Mel B, saying: ";Mel B has revealed she is already working on the dance moves for the Spice Girls reunion.

"She was the one who choreographed all the moves back in the day."

But Piers replied: "I'm never too sure about these comebacks, I've got to say, I think they have a moment in time.

"The Spice Girls had a moment in time, girl power, it was all fantastic.

"I'm not so sure it's such a good idea to come back."

When Anton asked what it could be instead, Piers said: "Mummy power, they're all mums now."

Earlier this month, it was revealed Victoria Beckham could make £3 million without having to sing a single line from the group's catalogue of hits.

The fashion designer is said to have scuppered plans for the band’s reunion by pulling out – but could still be quids in.

Speaking to the , a source revealed: “Victoria doesn’t want to tour as her fashion business is going from strength to strength.

“But she will make a lot of money even if she doesn’t take part in the reunion.

"It’s ruffled feathers as she is still set to benefit hugely without having to do much. At the moment she wants minimal involvement.

“Victoria is adamant she is committed to her business, so Simon [Fuller] is seeing how he can get her on board without her committing to a major world tour.”

The Sun’s Bizarre revealed back in February that the girls were going to reunite – but it now looks as if the plans have stalled again.
