EAGLE-eyed Emmerdale fans may have noticed Amy Walsh looks familiar - but it's not just because her big sister is Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh.
The actress is currently starring as fun-loving Tracy Metcalfe after following in the footsteps of her other sibling Sally.
Sally, now 39, was the first of the Walsh family to hit the big time when she appeared as Marlon Dingle’s troublemaker girlfriend Lyn Hutchinson from 1997 to 2000.
She worked in film and television from the age of eight and joined Emmerdale as outspoken schoolgirl Lyn when she was 18.
Most remembered for her infamous cat fight with Kelly Windsor, she went on to date chef Marlon (Mark Charnock).
Amy’s older brother Adam, now 35, also got in on the act, making his TV debut in Heartbeat in 1993.
Meanwhile Kimberley, 36, became a member of Girls Aloud after auditioning for Popstars:The Rivals in 2002.
The group went on to become one of Britain’s biggest-ever bands with 20 consecutive top ten singles, before splitting in 2013.
Amy, the youngest family member, was the last to make it, but after various theatre roles and a stint in Hollyoaks Later, she landed the part of Emmerdale’s Tracy in 2014.
The multi-talented family grew up in Bradford and from an early age the four Walsh children all showed signs of showbiz stardom. They joined a local stage school and pretty soon started landing acting roles.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Amy said: “It was a bit like Fame in our house.
“There are so many videos of us doing shows when we were kids. There’s one of us at my Grandma and Granddad’s wedding anniversary.
"Now I think – those poor people. They think they’ve gone to a party and then they’re subjected to loads of kids putting on a show!
“Every morning before school Sally and Kimberley would rehearse their own little shows and my mum was a music teacher, so she’d be accompanying them on the piano.
“When I first joined Emmerdale, me, my Mum and Kimberley all sat together to watch and we had a little bit of a tea party, which was nice.
“None of really watched soaps, but because Sally was in Emmerdale before, it is the one we all feel most familiar with, so it’s been nice for us to dip back into it.
“Kimberley was really pleased for me, because I have worked hard to make a path for myself.
"I had a bit of TV a few years ago and then nothing, so I think she’s just pleased it’s worked out, because it’s not easy and it doesn’t work out for everyone.
"It has for her and she just wants me to have the same sort of success, so she’s been really supportive.”
Amy has featured in a host of dramatic storylines during her four years in the Dales. Viewers recently saw Tracy’s sordid past as a prostitute unveiled, when she was recognised by a former client Phil.
Her husband David (Matthew Wolfenden) struggled to cope with the revelation and the couple have split.
This week teenager Jacob, who lives with David, is struggling with their separation and when he talks to Tracy she mentions that David’s exes are an issue.
Jacob is angry and tells Priya Sharma, an ex-girlfriend of David’s who has been stayed with them, that he wants her to leave.
Suspecting that David and Priya are back together, Tracy is feeling down and when David tries to apologise to her she blurts out that she knows he had a fling with his ex.
Tracy means Priya, but David has actually cheated on her with another of his ex-lovers, Leyla Harding.
Emmerdale is on ITV1, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 7pm, and Thursday at 7pm and 8pm.
