Who is MasterChef’s Kenny Tutt?

KENNY Tutt was a bank manager from Worthing in West Sussex who ended up winning the 2018 series of MasterChef.

It's now been four years since he won the show, and like many, we wonder what he's up to now. Find out here.

Who is Kenny Tutt?

Kenny, 39, lives in Worthing, West Sussex, with his wife and two children.

He says his fondest memory of food was that his mum cooked a lot.

"My mum always said if you just put a bit of love into it, that generally will make the food taste better.

His first job was at a bank where he ended up working there for 15 years.

When did Kenny Tutt win MasterChef?

Kenny applied for MasterChef in 2018 and ended up being crowned the winner.

His winning menu, which was inspired by his MasterChef journey, started with Roast scallops, smoked cauliflower, shimeji mushroom and pancetta.

His main course was a Squab pigeon breast and bon-bon, heritage beetroot, baby turnip, spiced cherries, bread sauce and game jus.

He finished the meal with a Bitter chocolate, ale ice-cream, malt tuile and smoked caramel.

Emotional Kenny said of his win: "It is a really special day. I have learnt so much and I couldn’t appreciate it any more.

"Today was 100% my best cooking in the entire competition everything just fell into place.

"I am just blown away. I have put my heart and soul into it and it’s been an absolute pleasure. It’s up there with the happiest days of my life!"

John Torode and Gregg Wallace congratulated Kenny on his "crowd-pleasing" winning dishes.

“I think Kenny’s journey has been extraordinary," said Torode.

"He has come a long way. His food has got more and more refined and his main course was make-my-heart-thump fantastic!"

What is Kenny Tutt doing now?

Since winning MasterChef Kenny has gone on to own his own restaurant.

He also owns his own cooking school called Pitch in Worthing, West Sussex.

He has now opened The Bayside Social on Worthing seafront.
