LISA Riley has revealed she is exploring IVF in a bid to become a mum.
The former Emmerdale actress, 41, had previously sworn never to have kids after losing her own mum to cancer in 2012.
But after finding love with boyfriend Al, Lisa has had a massive change of heart and is now pursuing motherhood.
She told : "I've decided not to live in fear. I want to have IVF but I'm not going to put myself through a lot of stress if it doesn't work.
"There are a lot of reasons why I want to have a baby: some to do with the fact I've saved myself by losing weight, but also that I'm in love for the first time in my life and he would like to have a baby if we can.
"I don't just think about myself any more. If we were to have a child, that would be wonderful."
Lisa had previously spoken about her decision not to have children, admitting she feared leaving her child without a mother if she too became a victim of cancer like her beloved mum Cath and both her grandmothers.
But the star first hinted she had had a change of heart in August last year during a debate on Loose Women.
She said at the time: "I've always said because of my mum and the cancer gene, I was very reluctant to have a child.
"But like you [Linda Robson] said, you might not have met the right person well I'm really lucky that over the last three years, I feel that I have met the right person and the person who I would want to be the father of my child.

"So I would like to think the NHS would help me should I need it."
And speaking to You Magazine, Lisa explained how dropping from a size 28 to a size 12 over the last two years had transformed her mindset as well as her body.
She said: "When I went in to have surgery to remove the loose flesh after I lost all my weight, the first thing that came into my head when I saw my surgeon was, 'Can I still have kids after all the surgery?'
"I was worried that because my skin had been cut it would no longer stretch."
