Zayn Malik to ‘ditch most of second album’ because of Gigi Hadid split
The former One Direction singer recorded his second album as an ode to his now-ex girlfriend, and now he wants to scrap the songs and record songs about their breakup.
ZAYN Malik's fans could end up waiting even longer for the singer's second album - because the tracks he has recorded were all about his love for now-ex girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
The former One Direction star had written and recorded more than 30 songs about the supermodel, but now he wants to scrap them from the album and write new music about their split.
If Zayn does bin the tunes, it'll but his album release date back months.
A source told the newspaper: "Zayn has been hard at work on this album for about 18 months.
“During most of that time he was completely head over heels in love with Gigi so that’s what he wrote about.
“There’s lots of songs about their love, passion and sensuality. But some of the songs are more painful to him than loving now.

“Even though the break-up is being touted as a mutual decision he is heartbroken and wants to use that as inspiration.
“He’s an incredibly deep character and wants to write new music about the split to help him process his feelings.
“Zayn and Gigi both still love each other but were struggling to make the relationship work. No one would be surprised if they got back together.”
The Sun's Bizarre column recently revealed how Zayn and Gigi had split after dating for two years.
A source said: “They are no longer a couple but they do remain close and are supportive of each other.
“The reality is that they’ve grown apart, having been together for a long time.
“They have crazy work schedules that would put pressure on any relationship.
“This is definitely the end for now, but this isn’t a bitter split and they both have respect for each other.
“It’s a mutual decision so no one has completely ruled out a reunion in the future, but for now that’s not where their heads are at.”
