Dec, 42, will present this week's programme on his own after co-star Ant McPartlin, 42, stood down from his TV commitments last week following a drink-driving charge.

It has been claimed Dec will be getting a helping hand from his good mate James, as well as a host of A-listers including Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Bruce Willis during the final episode.

James appeared as a guest announcer earlier in the series of Saturday Night Takeaway and has proved to be a huge hit Stateside - presenting The Late Late Show on CBS.

However, a source has confirmed to The Sun Online that he will not be taking part in SNT's finale.

A source told Daily Star: "Dec has got a big job on his hands fronting a live show from the States all on his own.

“Although he will have fellow show stars Scarlett Moffatt and Stephen Mulhern there to assist, the producers want to add some sparkle with some big Tinseltown names."

The programme recently drew more than 9million viewers for its 100th episode, but this week will be the first time Dec's presented it on his own.

Last year's live finale at the Walt Disney World Resort Florida saw Christina Ricci, CeeLo Green and Cat Deeley star.

The huge production was the most ambitious in the programme's 15 year history.

Next week's show will see Stephen Merchant, star of Logan and Ricky Gervais’ sitcom Extras, appear in the voiceover booth as the weekly Star Guest Announcer.

Paloma Faith will perform the End Of The Show Show and The Script will also be on hand for Singalong Live.
