Union J heart-throb Josh Cuthbert signs up for new series of Celebrity MasterChef
THE Celebrity Master-Chef kitchen just got hotter – with singer Josh Cuthbert signed up for the new series.
Producers hope the Union J heart-throb, who is also in contention for a Strictly place later this year, will attract more female viewers.
I can reveal he will be joined on the BBC1 show by fellow singer Frankie Bridge of girl group The Saturdays.
A source revealed: “BBC casting agents thinks it’s a great shout to soft-launch Josh to viewers on a mainstream show like MasterChef ahead of a possible Strictly stint.
“It means that house-wives will be familiar with him too as well as younger music fans.
“Debbie McGee did the MasterChef and Strictly double last year, and they hope he will too.”
Frankie will be able to give Josh some dance tips over the saucepans as she took part in Strictly herself in 2014.
And she hinted at her culinary move in December, saying: “I think in 2018, I’m finally going to learn how to cook.”
She won’t last very long in the competition otherwise.
