GOOD Morning Britain viewers were left squirming as Richard Madeley talked about sex fantasies, Fifty Shades Of Grey and S&M in a debate with dating expert Nadia Essex.
Nadia was on the show along with novelists Joanna Trollope and Adele Parks to talk about romance books.
Nadia was arguing that woman do not read the books to "get tips" and insisted they are just a fantasy escape and should not be "censored".
After bickering with Joanna and Adele, Richard stepped in to back Nadia and started talking about the E.L. James' erotic novel series Fifty Shades of Grey.
He said: "It's about sex... There no question that in the bedroom, submission is what goes on. It's part of a fantasy - why can't you write about that in a novel?"
Viewers were stunned by Richard's saucy comments about sex and they flocked to Twitter to discuss the raunchy moment.
One wrote: "Watching @richardm56 talk about “submission in the bedroom” at 7.44 in the morning on #GMB @gmb."
Another added: "Made me wanna [vomit] too."
A third wrote: "Eww Richard talking sex and bedrooms at 7.43 #gmb."
One more commented: "I’ve never felt more uncomfortable!"
The debate was about a new fiction sub-genre called resistance romance, which has been branded a more "politically correct" version of the traditional bodice-ripper.
Nadia said: "It's fiction not a hand book - I don't read Harry Potter to gets tips on being a wizard."
