Coronation Street fans reckon they’ve worked out clairvoyant Rosemary’s true identity – and there’s a link to serial killer Richard Hillman

CORONATION Street viewers think they've worked out the true identity of clairvoyant Rosemary - and there's a link to serial killer Richard Hillman.

Harry Potter actress Sophie Thompson - who plays the self-professed psychic medium in the ITV soap - joined the cobbles earlier this month.

Audrey Roberts was shocked when her client Rosemary turned out to be a medium and told her she's been communicating with her husband Alf Roberts from beyond the grave.

The clairvoyant claimed that her "gift" also gave her a message from Gail Platt's killer husband, Richard Hillman, who died back in 2003.

Rosemary said Richard had put a curse on unlucky Gail and her family.

And while Audrey, Roy Cropper and Brian Packham – who had initially believed Rosemary – have tried their best to prove that Rosemary isn't who she says she is, viewers think they've worked it out.

Fans reckon Rosemary is actually Richard Hillman's sister.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "I'm calling it now... Rosemary is Richard Hillman's sister!!

While someone else said: "I think rosemary is Richard Hillmans sister. #Corrie

Another joked: "I’ve worked it out!! Rosemary is obviously watching #ClassicCorrie on @ITV3 that’s how she knows everything,

"Either that or she's Richard Hillmans sister/first wife lol. #Corrie #CoronationStreet".

More than 16 years ago viewers watched when Richard murdered Maxine Peacock and his ex wife Patricia Hillman, leaving Duggie Ferguson to die.

Before trying to murder Emily Bishop, Audrey Roberts, wife Gail Platt, and stepchildren and grandchildren David, Sarah and Bethany Platt.

He famously cursed Gail for defying him and the Platts have suffered a horrible time of it since with Gail having two more husbands dying on her.
