DAYS after being criticised for filming its  Manhunt series about the murder of Milly Dowler at the exact spot  where the schoolgirl went missing, ITV is at it again.

I’m told the broadcaster is working on a new drama about the notorious White House Farm murders, risking the anger of surviving relatives.

The  bloodbath in Essex in August 1985 saw Jeremy Bamber, above, jailed for shooting three generations of his own family.

A source said: “It’s still in the early stages. But if it comes to fruition, it could open up some old wounds for the family.”

The programme could reopen the debate over Bamber’s  guilt, with campaigners doubting the prosecution case and fighting to clear his name.

Britain was gripped by the case, which saw Bamber found guilty of gunning down his parents June and Nevill as well as his sister Sheila and her six-year-old twins Daniel and Nicholas.

He tried to frame it to look like his sister, who was schizophrenic, had carried out the killings before taking her own life.

But police worked out she couldn’t have pulled the trigger and Bamber’s girlfriend told police he had exposed his guilt by mistake.

As of  2016, Bamber was one of  just 70 prisoners in the UK subject to a whole-life order, meaning he has no possibility of parole.
