Megan McKenna and ‘Muggy’ Mike Thalassitis’s relationship branded a ‘showmance’ by his Celebrity Dinner Date ex

'MUGGY' Mike Thalassitis and Megan McKenna’s relationship has been branded a ‘showmance’ by one of his exes.

Jasmin Weston, who went on a date with him six months ago on Celebrity Dinner Date, reckons their recent public displays of affection is because she is in the “limelight”.

She won his affection on the ITVBe show when he chose her over two other girls during the episode aired last week.

They continued to exchange messages but the romance fizzled out due to his heightened fame after Love Island.

Jasmine, 23, told the Sun’s Bizarre column: "I think he quite likes her because she's in the limelight as well.

“I feel like that is a big part of their relationship. All over magazines and I think they’re loving it.

“But they do seem proper loved up. It could be convenience.”

Half Lebanese Jasmine cooked former Cyprus football team international Mike, 24, a three-course meze meal, in a tribute to her heritage, on ITVBe's Celebrity Dinner Date.

He chose to go on a second date with her over two other girls before swapping numbers and continuing the conversations for a while.

But Jasmin, who went to school with his new girlfriend and former Towie star Megan, 26, says they eventually stopped talking as he was so busy with club PAs.

And the North Londoner defended his ‘Muggy’ reputation, given to him by rival Chris Hughes, 25, on last year’s Love Island, saying he was charming and funny.

She said: “Behind the scenes he’s actually a very chilled guy and very sweet.

“He’s really lovely and quite charming as well. I was pleasantly surprised. I saw a different side to him.

“He’s quite funny himself. We got on really well and had a few laughs. It was nice to see that side of him. He would never ever be able to be muggy with me.

“He was full up with PAs for the next four months as he was fresh out of Love Island. So it wasn’t realistic for us to meet up.

“We messaged a bit. But I just thought, ‘he’s probably messaging 1,000 other girls’ so I wasn’t into it.”
