Shocked Saturday Night Takeaway viewers say they’ve been ‘living a lie’ as the REAL lyrics to the Friends theme song revealed
SATURDAY Night Takeaway viewers were left shocked tonight when they discovered they’d been singing the lyrics to the Friends theme tune wrong for the past two decades.
The Rembrandts who sing I’ll Be There For You performed the tune live tonight as viewers at home took part to sing the missing lyric to win a cash prize.

Alison from Chelmsford was happily playing from her sofa when she sang the chorus as “When the rain starts to fall”, before being cut off by Delcan Donnelly who told her it was wrong.
As Alison insisted she was correct, Dec revealed that the lyric goes, “When the rain starts to POUR”, leaving her utterly shocked.
And she wasn’t the only one who couldn’t believe she’d been wrong for over 20 years, the viewers took to Twitter in their droves to express their shock.
One wrote: “What % of the population just screamed “fall” at their TV? The fact that the lyric is ‘pour’ has set me a bit on edge #SNT #andanddec #SaturdayNight”

Meanwhile Dec moved viewers to tears as he performed Everybody Needs Somebody without Ant McPartlin.
The 42-year-old opened the finale of the series by singing the poignant Blues Brothers’ song as he presented for the second time ever without Ant, and emotional fans were certain there was a message for his troubled best pal in there.
