THIS Morning viewers were moved to tears today as Eamonn Holmes got up to hug a young mum who is dying of cancer.

Brave Lisa Wells fell pregnant last year with her second child and what she thought were signs of a difficult pregnancy were actually those of bowel cancer.

The 32-year-old, who is mum to Ava, five, and six-month-old Saffia, opened up about the moment she discovered her diagnosis.

She said: “It was completely silent, we had no words to say, we got to the car and I fell down, it was such a shock, they found a tumour, so we knew it was cancer, but we didn’t think it would be that bad.”

The beautician went on to reveal that she is being as open as possible with her daughter Ava about what she is going through.

Lisa explained: “I’m really open to her with regards to all the treatment, I would never want her to think I hid things, obviously we haven’t told her the full diagnosis as she’s five, she wouldn’t understand that, but every treatment that I’ve had, every procedure, we talk through that. If she wants to ask questions I let her.”

And despite the bleak outlook, Lisa is refusing to take her diagnosis lying down and is doing everything she can to secure her children’s future.

She said: “It was fight or flight, what do you do? Do you accept what’s given to you and sit on YOUR bed, or do you push through? I wanted to do things.

“I wanted to do a 20k walk with all of my friends and 300 people walked with us, as I wanted to raise money for my children, for my future, for education, driving lessons, wedding dresses, everything that I would want to give them.”

At the end of the chat Eamonn was moved to give Lisa a hug.
