A source told : “Beyonce and Destiny’s Child are reuniting.

“It was teased, rumoured, squashed, so nothing much else was said . . . But it’s happening.”

The insider said the added surprise is “to make up for the fact she was unable to perform last year,” when pregnant. “The girls really wanted it and felt they owed it to the fans.”

Destiny's Childs' roots can be traced all the way back to 1990, when Beyonce first met rapper LaTavia Roberson.

They went on to form a group which was originally named Girl's Tyme - and would become one of the best-selling girl bands of all time.

The original line-up was a four-piece, including Beyonce, Kelly, LaTavia and LeToya Luckett.

In December 1999, LaTavia and LeToya left the group - over rows with Beyonce's dad, and the band's manager, Matthew Knowles.

They were replaced by Michelle and Farrah Franklin - with the latter leaving just five months later.
