BEYONCE'S Coachella performance could have been iconic for all the wrong reasons as she suffered a wardrobe malfunction during her two-hour set.
Bey was seen hitching her costume up as she welcomed Destiny's Child to the stage at the festival on Saturday night - and her thigh high boots later fell to her ankles.
The Crazy In Love hitmaker was forced to perform a number of moves one-handed while she danced to Soldier and Independent Women with Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.
The variety of her performance outfits were designed by the creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing.
Fans were quick to jump to Bey's defence and slam the designer on Twitter.
One said: "Poor Beyonce, them boots would not let be great! RIP to whoever designed that last costume. #ByeChella"
Another said: "I feel so bad for the costume designer... them boots and this final bodysuit can't sustain Beyonce."
Queen Bey, who was accompanied by a live band and backing dancers, entertained the audience when she brought out Jay Z on stage for Deja Vu and performed a dance off with sister Solange on stage.
The 36-year-old was forced to cancel headlining the Californian festival last year when she became pregnant with twins Rumi and Sir, who were born June 2017.
As she was preparing to sing Run The World (Girls), she exclaimed: "Thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline Coachella."
It was previously reported that she was spending up to 11 hours a day rehearsing for Coachella.
Adele shared her own version of Beyonce's set as she watched along at home.
Singer Sam Smith tweeted: "Beyoncé at Coachella looks out of this world."
Another fan tweeted: "Beyoncé proves yet again that she's the greatest performer of all time. That's it. No more debates."
Eminem is headlining the festival tonight.
