It is currently being filmed in Toronto from April - May 2018 and is expected to be in cinemas in 2019.
Run This Town tells the real-life story of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford who was caught up in a drug abuse scandal in 2013.
It will be Ricky Tollman's directorial debut - he produced the film Jonathan which premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival.

Who was Toronto Mayor Rob Ford?
Rob Ford was the mayor of Toronto from 2010-2014.
In 2013 he was involved in a drug abuse scandal after being caught on camera smoking crack but repeatedly forced to resign.
In 2014 he withdrew from the mayoral race after being diagnosed with cancer and died in 2016 after receiving chemotherapy.
He was succeeded by John Tory and his older brother Doug Ford is the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario.
A 12-part web series called Filth City, also about Rob Ford, was shown at the 2017 Canadian Film Festival.
