Kim Kardashian defends Kanye West’s Twitter outbursts and pro Trump tweets – but insiders claims she’s worried about him
KIM Kardashian has leapt to the defence of husband Kanye West after he sparked concerns for his well-being with a barrage of bizarre tweets.
The reality star, 37, made it clear she differs with the rapper on his views on President Trump after he posted a number of messages seemingly endorsing the US leader, but added he was entitled to his views.
Taking to Twitter, Kim wrote: "He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America? Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card? That’s just not fair.
"He’s actually out of the sunken place when he’s being himself which is very expressive.
"Now when he spoke out about Trump... Most people (including myself) have very different feelings & opinions about this. But this is HIS opinion. I believe in people being able to have their own opinions, even if really different from mine. He never said he agrees with his politics."
She went on to say her husband was "years ahead of his time" and she loves him for his willingness to go against popular opinion.
Kanye famously met with Trump at Trump Towers in 2016 when he was President-elect.
Yesterday the 40-year-old referred to Trump as his brother, praised his energy and declared his love for the controversial leader.
Kardashian insiders say Kim is racked with worry behind the scenes and concerned Kanye could end up in hospital again.
A source told The Sun Online:“Kim is terrified that Kanye’s putting himself under way too much pressure with work and spending too long hours in the studio."
“Kanye never stops working and now he has so many deadlines, he’s up at odd hours and she’s worried he’s not taking care of himself.”
The rapper has worried fans recently after going on a manic tweeting spree in which he announced he was working on five albums – either as an artist or producer – and recently hinted he was ready to run for president with "Kanye 2024" posters.
He’s also stopped working with Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun and his own longtime manager Izvor Zivkovic, tweeting yesterday: “I no longer have a manager, I can’t be managed.”
Close friend and radio host Ebro Darden also broadcast worrying audio of Kanye calling into his radio show sounding disorientated and confused where he repeated that he “loved” Ebro and sang a Stevie Wonder song.

Ebro later claimed that in an off-air conversation, Kanye had told him that during his 2016 hospitalisation, where he collapsed on his personal trainer’s driveway and was rushed to a medical centre, that he was ‘addicted to’ prescription drugs.
Ebro claims Kanye said: “Nobody really showed love for me when I was addicted to opioids and in the hospital.”
Kanye’s previously rapped about taking Lexapro, a medication for depression and anxiety disorders, on 2016 track FML.
The source added: “Kim’s whole family is concerned about Kanye and they’re urging him to slow down.
“Nobody wants to see him exhaust himself and end up back in hospital. Kim’s desperately worried but keeps playing it off like Kanye’s just joking around.

“But he’s acting strangely as he’s so busy – eating junk food and sending his team out to taco trucks around LA, checking into hotels close to the studio ‘to concentrate’.
“Kim is so busy with her make-up range, her fragrance launch and their three kids, so all these creative projects stressing Kanye out isn’t ideal right now.
“But he’s doing all the things he did before his last collapse – it’s hard not to seen the warning signs.”
