Unlucky-in-love Coronation Street star Kym Marsh, 41, splits from Matt Baker, 27, two months after buying £500k house together
CORRIE star Kym Marsh has split from her partner two months after they bought a £500,000 home together.
The unlucky-in-love mum-of-three had been dating personal trainer Matt Baker for more than two years but broke up last week.
Friends claim Kym, 41, and her 27-year-old toyboy clashed over the pressure of buying the three-bedroom country home while juggling their busy working lives.
A pal said: “They wanted this to work out and have spent weeks trying to work through the issues but, sadly, it just wasn’t to be.
“In the end, they both agreed it was for the best that they go their separate ways despite buying a house together so recently.”
Kym has endured as turbulent love life as her Coronation Street character Michelle Connor, whom she has played for 12 years.
She was married to EastEnders actor Jack Ryder and then fellow soap actor and 2017 I’m A Celebrity... runner-up Jamie Lomas.
She has two older children, David, 23, and Emilie, 21, from a previous relationship and a seven-year-old daughter, Polly, with Lomas.
Their first child, Archie, died shortly after his premature birth. Kym has since become a campaigner and fundraiser for premature birth charities.
She started dating fellow Corrie star Oliver Mellor in 2013 and and then actor Dan Hooper, before moving on to personal trainer Matt in 2015.
After their relationship fizzled out, she began seeing another personal trainer, Dan Hooper, who has a young daughter with Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring.
They were engaged but, after their split, Kym returned to Matt and spoke of the possibility of getting married again.
But the pal said: “Matt has been working on opening a new restaurant while Kym does very long hours on set with Coronation Street — while also being a committed mum to her children.

“The pressure of moving proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back but they’re determined to keep things civilised.
“It has just been a very upsetting period for everyone involved.”
A spokesperson for the Coronation Street star said: “Sadly, we can confirm Kym and Matt have made the decision to take some time apart but remain friends.”
