Linda Nolan reveals she believes her late husband was looking down on her when she had a kiss on a date – and that her cancer is currently ‘stabilised’
LINDA Nolan believes her late husband Brian was looking down on her when she had her first kiss with another man.
The terminally ill 59-year-old lost the love of her life to cancer in 2007 after 26 years of marriage.

Last year she went on her first date since his death and even enjoyed a kiss.
Speaking on Lorraine about the moment today, Linda said: “I did have a kiss, with an old friend, bless his heart, who lives in Australia. We went out for dinner and at the end of the night I said to him ‘you can kiss me if you like but it’s the first kiss since Brian’.
“It was big step and it was a kind of final realisation that it’s OK to find somebody else because Brian was my first love and he will always have a piece of my heart. But I know Bernie [her sister, who died of breast cancer in 2013] and Brian would have been up there going ‘look at her at the tube station having a kiss!’”
Linda was left utterly heartbroken by his death, revealing: “He spoilt me to a fault really. When he passed away I was absolutely helpless. He looked after me and I went out on stage.

“When he left I lost half of me, which is why I had such a terrible time with my grief.”
The singer is currently living with cancer herself, but revealed it is currently “stabilised”.
She told Lorraine: “I’m good. I had my last scans, everything has stayed the same, and it’s stable. The cancer is in my left hip and the treatment they have given me, the calcium tablets and injections, they have all calcified around the fracture and strengthened the bone.
“It’s a case of waiting every three months, getting the scan and then waiting for the results.”
Continuing, Linda added: “I try not and think about it otherwise cancer rules my life. I am actually living with cancer and I am hopefully going to go back to work.
“Everything is going well.”
