A WOMAN appeared on The Jeremy Kyle Show today to deny she’d broken into her friend’s flat to steal her make-up and digestive biscuits.

Marching out onto the stage after waiting in the wings, Sian exclaimed to her friend Nikita: “You’ve done it before – you’ve told people that someone had burgled into your flat before,” prompting her pal to reply: “Did I? What flat?”

Sian continued: “I got told last night. My friend phoned me and told me that you turned round and said that she burgled into your flat, that’s why the council put you up.

Nikita innocently asked: “What friend? I didn’t think you had any,” before adding: “So, my friend burgled my flat?”

Welcoming Sian to the show, presenter Jeremy asked her if she burgled Nikita’s flat, to which she replied: “No, I didn’t.”

She went on to explain to Jeremy that she was living in the flat below and her boyfriend heard footsteps in the property while Nikita was on holiday.

Sian said she texted Nikita to ask who was living in her apartment while she was away and was surprised to hear back that nobody was.

Nikita phoned her friend Nadine from abroad and told her to go to her flat with a spare key to check on the situation.

Nadine said nothing had been taken from the property and that everything was secure but Jeremy had been told the front door was already open, which he suggested Sian had said to cover her breaking into the flat herself.

But Sian insisted: “No, I didn’t even burgle into her flat,” and when Sian was asked if she had stolen from Nikita, she exclaimed: “No I didn’t!”

However, Nikita said that when she returned from holiday she discovered someone had actually entered the property after “busting [the door] open with a crowbar”.

She explained: “I thought it was a joke to be honest, I’m not going to lie. I thought somebody pulled a prank on me or something.

“My TV was actually gone and it didn’t come back so, yeah, we phoned the police.”

Jeremy asked her what was taken, to which she replied: “A TV, [Apple] iMac, the mouse for it, keypad, an Xbox with a controller, two and a half packets of chocolate digestive biscuits, a full loaf of bread. I’m not even joking!”

She continued: “My make-up box, a box of Maltesers. I didn’t even know they’d gone! My partner bought me some biscuits just to replace the ones that had gone and I said, ‘Oh, that’s ok, I’ve got Maltesers.’

“So I went to check the Maltesers and they’d gone!”

Nikita said she was actually more upset about the missing Maltesers than the Xbox.

Astounded viewers took to Twitter to mock Sian for her apparent actions, with one writing: “How desperate would you have to be to take digestive biscuits? If they were Jaffa Cakes, I could understand it.”

Another posted: “Biscuits and bread??? Who steals biscuits and bread along with electrical goods????”

And someone else tweeted: “Can’t forget the chocy biscuits or the maltesers,” along with a crying with laughter emoji.

She went on to explain that Sian had previously come asking to borrow some make-up and Nikita applied it for her because she did not know how to do it herself.

She continued: “I saw her, I think it was Saturday morning, and I don’t know who told her she looked OK but she really didn’t!

“She came out of the flat and her face was brown, like, darker than this flooring, brown.

“And her neck was white. Like, whiter than the word ‘Jeremy’ on that screen. I’m not even joking! I don’t know how she thought she looked but I think she thought she looked OK.”

Nikita claims she knew Sian was wearing the stolen foundation as she had not been using it herself because it was too dark for her skin.

Telling her she was struggling for money, Jeremy suggested Sian had entered the flat upstairs to use some make-up, asking her: “What about the foundation? Because apparently you came out looking like I don’t know what.”

However, Sian was insistent she had done nothing wrong and was adamant she would pass a lie detector test.

Jeremy later asked the studio audience who thought Sian was telling the truth and only two people raised their hands.

But guests gasped when they discovered a lie detector test found she was telling the truth and that she had not broken into the flat.

It also emerged she was being honest when she said she did not know for sure who had burgled Nikita’s flat.

The Jeremy Kyle show airs on ITV1 on weekdays at 9.25am.
