David Beckham overwhelmed with emotion as Brooklyn surprises him on his birthday

DAVID Beckham was overcome with emotion as his eldest son Brooklyn surprised him with a visit on his birthday.

The former footballer looked overjoyed as 19-year-old Brooklyn walked into the restaurant the family were having dinner at and gave his dad a hug.

Brooklyn had been in America, but travelled to London to surprise his dad.

Victoria filmed it all for Instagram.

At the start of the video, you can hear her saying, "David," as Brooklyn walks in.

David sounds choked up as he asks his son: "What are you doing here?"

He then asks again what he's doing there, to which Brooklyn simply says: "Happy birthday."

Six-year-old Harper can be heard in the background saying: "I didn't know Brooklyn was coming."

The family were out celebrating David's 43rd birthday.

Victoria had previously taken to Instagram to gush over her husband on his birthday.

She shared a picture of David with the kids - minus Brooklyn - and wrote: "Happy birthday to the best daddy!! X
