Mel B teases Spice Girls reunion ahead of Royal wedding with iconic throwback picture
Girl Power is coming back just in time for the wedding of the year - and fans are hoping for a tour announcement to coincide
MEL B has confirmed she will be meeting up with her Spice Girls bandmates ahead of the Royal wedding.
It's been long-rumoured that the five-piece will perform for the first time in over five years at the request of Meghan Markle.
Mel B shared a throwback cover of Rolling Stone magazine from the Spice Girls heyday.
She captioned the iconic image: "Can't wait to see my girls next week yipppeeee #GirlPower #FriendshipNeverEnds #90s."
Fans flocked to share their glee at the news of a reunion. While referencing one of the group's biggest hits, one fan proclaimed: "Spice up the world!"
Another put: "Yes, can't wait to see you all back together!"
A third fan reacted: "OMG this gives me my childhood back. My goodness, I loved you girls! I remember seeing this mag cover and dying!"
Speaking on US talk show, The Real, Mel confirmed all five of them had been asked to attend but remained coy about whether or not they would be performing.
Mel's co-stars screamed when she told them the news but wouldn't budge when asked about certain details, including what Harry and Meghan's wedding invite look liked.
Mel sternly said: “I'm not saying any more,” but when she was asked whether they would perform or not, she grinned and looked down at her hands.
As the audience clapped Mel laughed and said: “I'm going to be fired!”
Earlier this year The Sun revealed how Geri Horner wanted the band to launch their comeback at the nuptials.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Geri suggested the Royal Wedding is a fantastic opportunity, and that they should offer to perform at the reception.
