Beyonce scared off SoulCycle workouts after her long braids got snagged in bicycle wheel
BEYONCE had a hit with Deja Vu in 2006 – and she might get just that when she watches Amy Schumer’s new movie.
I Feel Pretty sees a woman fall off a bike and hit her head during a SoulCycle exercise class, and that is something which almost happened to Bey, too.
The superstar has been scared off doing workouts at the popular fitness studio in LA after an incident which involved her long braids getting caught up in her bike during a particularly energetic session.
Bey and husband Jay-Z regularly paid £50 each per class last year as she tried to shed her baby weight following the birth of her twins Sir and Rumi.
But she raced out of the studio in February after having to be rescued from her static bike.
An insider revealed: “Beyonce worked out at the public SoulCycle classes all the time last year.
“But a few months ago she had really long braids and hadn’t tied them back properly.
“She was getting really into it when one got caught in the wheel.
“She had to stop straight away and there was a bit of a commotion.
“Bey couldn’t move and the panicked staff had to yank her hair out of the machine. It was a real scare.
“Beyonce was fine afterwards as the braids were only extensions but it shook her up.
“She always used to come in to the class after the first song, sit on a bike at the back and leave during the last tune to avoid being noticed by anyone. But she hasn’t been back.”
As a souvenir for the star I’ve mocked up a pic of what the cycling accident waiting to happen might have looked like.
Speaking about the movie, comedy actress Amy said: “My character Renee, she kind of has low self-esteem and she really wants to be pretty.
“Then I fall off my bike in SoulCycle and I start seeing myself as a supermodel.”
Thankfully for Beyonce, she looked like one both before and after her accident.

RITA ORA sued JAY-Z’s record label Roc Nation in 2016 trying to get out of her deal and now says of them: “I do feel I got discriminated against because I was a woman. I almost felt I could have had a better chance if I’d been male.”
Kim's faux cher
KIM Kardashian sports a less than unique outfit to a Cher gig – dressing up as the singer herself.
Reality star Kim took inspiration from a Native American-style look Cher wore at a production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1974 as she watched her residency show at Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas.
She also had welcome news for those fans who have long been upset at Kim and husband Kanye West for wearing real animal fur.
Speaking about her outfit on Snapchat, she declared: “This coat is faux fur. That’s my new thing, faux.”
Pamela Anderson has been among those who have encouraged Kim to ditch real fur.
Seems the message may finally be getting through.
HOPPING SUCCESS
PETER Rabbit was a roaring success at the box office and there will be a sequel, due for release in 2020.
Will Gluck is returning to direct, James Corden will be back to voice the bunny.
Domhnall, Sam Neill, Margot Robbie and Daisy Ridley are expected to join him in the hutch.
Emma's host with the most worries
EMMA Willis is one of the most in-demand presenters on TV – but still fears for her career.
The host of Big Brother and The Voice, who has three kids with her former Busted star husband Matt, says she is insecure because the industry is so uncertain.
Speaking on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast, she said: “I put it down a lot to my upbringing. My parents are quite realists.
“I’ve always had the ‘can’t quite believe my luck’ aspect of where my life has gone, so I’m ready, at any point, that it will end. I’ve never really planned what I was going to do. Maybe that’s why I’ve always thought it won’t last for ever or I probably won’t do it for very long, because I never expected it to happen.
“I do panic, though. When it does end. What do I do then? Because I haven’t planned that either.”
I don’t think she needs to worry just yet.

MARK HAMILL sported an impressive head of hair as Luke in The Last Jedi – but it wasn’t his. He said: “That wasn’t all my hair. Those were extensions. How long would it take to grow hair that long? Like, four years? I haven’t got that time.”
Latte Gaga
LADY Gaga must have grown a little bored of all her time off if she is getting this dressed up to fetch a coffee.
Her stylish black outfit certainly impressed one passing motorist.
The singer, snapped near her home in Malibu, California, is slowly getting back to work after taking a break for health reasons.
She has been in the studio with producer BloodPop, while her Netflix film Gaga: Five Foot Two is up for Best Music Documentary at next month’s MTV Movie & TV Awards.
I guess she was never going to celebrate by wearing her trackies.
ALMA NO EUROVISION FAN
RISING star ALMA will never represent her native Finland in Eurovision.
She has ruled it out following a testing experience as a teen on Finnish TV talent show Idols. The Chasing Highs singer, who plays the Vevo stage at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival on Thursday, May 17, said: “I would never do it. I’m not a fan of Eurovision. I’m a fan of LORDI, who won it for Finland, but I’m not a fan of Eurovision.
“When I was 15 I was in Idols and I would say never again to anything like that, ever again.”
Hopefully this year’s Finnish entry for Eurovision, Saara Alto, is more game.
Pushy spice Mel flies in
THREE months have passed since the Spice Girls met for the first time in six years, sending reunion anticipation rocketing.
But after things went quiet in what must be the most on/off comeback ever, all five will finally have another meeting this week in an attempt to move plans forward.
Mel B, who is flying into London today, posted on Insta she would be seeing Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, writing: “Can’t wait to see my girls next week.”
It’s no wonder she is so enthusiastic about the get-together given she and Geri have been the driving force behind the reunion. They are keen to keep things on track, despite waning interest from Victoria, who said in February: “I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.”
Live performances, voicing an animated superhero movie and judging a Chinese talent show are all ideas that have been thrown around by manager Simon Fuller.
He was instrumental in the band’s success, but he definitely has his work cut out this time round. It’s fine that friendship never ends, but maybe the Spice Girls should.
