VIEWERS were shaking their rulebooks in fury after claiming one wealthy teen on Rich Kids Go Skint was "cheating."

It came as youngster Angelina refused to stay in struggling mum Amy's house, instead forking out for a luxury hotel that cost more than triple the family's weekly food bill.

The 5Star show sees spoilt kids from wealthy backgrounds move into households on the brink of poverty.

It challenges privileged people like Angelina to experience life outside of their luxurious comfort zone.

When offered the couch for a night's sleep, the wealthy girl was horrified after noticing a spider. She confessed: "To be honest I really struggle with spiders and there's loads in this room as well."

Despite breaking the rules of the show, Angelina was pleased with her decision.

She said: "I'm so glad I'm here [in the hotel], I really couldn't bring myself to stay there."

Later in the episode, Angelina caused further shock when pulling out caviar and crackers for breakfast - despite 19-year-old Amy revealing she only gets one meal each day due to debts.

Viewers flocked to social media to vent, with one writing: "Isn't that cheating staying in a hotel and bringing caviar?"

A second viewer ranted: "What a cheat! Staying in a hotel isn't going skint."

One disgruntled telly addict claimed: "Another one not playing by the rules. Shame."

However, one viewer sympathised with wealthy Angelina and agreed with her decision to book a hotel room.

They put: "I don't think Angelina is being snobby by not staying.. I wouldn't want to sleep in a room full of spiders sharing a sofa with the dog either, why is she expected to sleep with the dog?!"

Viewers with a heart were all in support for young mum Amy, who also cares for her mother.

One viewer vowed they would "start donating to food banks" after learning how families like Amy's depend on the service, adding: "Little things go far for those with not a lot in life."

Another viewer put: "Fair play to Amy. She's one tough 19-year-old, who has a lot on her plate for someone so young. Hope she gets the break she needs. Good luck to her."

Angelina later told her unimpressed mother about the hotel stay, with mum asking: "Isn't that cheating? Surely you were supposed to stay there and actually experience everything... I think that's a little feeble."

The episode also saw Angelina struggle to operate a hoover.

A self-confessed newcomer to household chores, she was given instructions by Amy and just about managed to operate the machine.
