Who is Nick Cave and who is his band ‘The Bad Seeds?’

NICK Cave has been referred to as the Godfather of Goth throughout his legendary music career.

Who is Nick Cave?

Born September 22, 1957, Nicholas Edward Cave is an Australian musician, best known as the frontman of the rock band, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

The 64-year-old studied art before turning to music and becoming the frontman of the band, Boys Next Door, later the Birthday Party.

He formed Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in 1983 and the band has since released 16 studio albums, including their 2016 release, Skeleton Tree.

Nick also occasionally acts and is most prominently featured in 1989 prison film, Ghosts...of the Civil Dead, and has also released two novels.

With 16 albums under their belt, the band average an album release at the prolific rate of once every two years.

The band's most successful single was Where the Wild Roses Grow, a duet with pop princess Kylie Minogue.

Their song, O Children, was featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.
