Helena, 51, joined radio DJ Myleene Klass, 40, and newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky, 45, at the event.

She has been cast in series three and four of the Netflix series and will take over from Vanessa Kirby, 30, as Princess Margaret, it was confirmed last week.

She said: “I’m not sure which I’m more terrified about — doing justice to the real Princess Margaret or following in the shoes of Vanessa.”

The 5ft 1in star added: “The only thing I can guarantee is that I’ll be shorter than Vanessa.”
