Emmerdale spoilers: Charity Dingle’s secret son revealed as girlfriend Vanessa Woodfield overhears and the truth is exposed
THE truth about Charity Dingle’s secret son with vile sexual predator DI Bails is revealed in Emmerdale next week when the landlady’s lover, Vanessa Woodfield, overhears Charity talking about the tragic tot to vicar Harriet Finch.
Charity, played by Emmerdale legend Emma Atkins, is in distress when Harriet brings up the subject of her dead baby boy, unaware that girlfriend Vanessa has been listening in and hears everything.
While Vanessa, actress Michelle Hardwick, is aware that Bails groomed and raped Charity when she was just 14 years old, she didn’t know that Charity had given birth to the monster’s baby.
A shocked Vanessa wants to help her lover and she and Harriet decide to visit the hospital and find out more information about the tragic tot.
But will their interfering cause more heartache for Charity in the long run?
Charity recently revealed to Vanessa that she suffered months of abuse at the DI’s hands after he took her in off the street while she was working as a prostitute.
Troubled Charity had already had one baby – daughter Debbie Dingle – taken from her when twisted copper Bails offered her a place to stay.
In heart-breaking scenes Charity told Vanessa how Bails had raped her on her first night and went on to lock her in his flat and regularly beat her.

She only escaped when she stole his car and reported him to the police. But in a tragic turn of events Charity revealed how the cops didn’t take the word of a teenage prostitute in a stolen car very seriously.
Charity confided in Harriet that the baby boy she gave birth to had died after the vicar tried to encourage her to find the son and use his DNA in a case against rapist Bails.
Charity insisted to Harriet that she wouldn’t dig her son up, but what will the vicar and Vanessa discover when they start asking questions at the hospital?
