John Legend and Chrissy Teigen upgrade to a lavish £6.7million New York penthouse as they become parents for second time
JOHN Legend and Chrissy Teigen have splashed out on a stunning New York penthouse.
He once sung about Ordinary People, but their recent purchase is anything but ordinary.
The couple have upgraded after expanding their family with the birth of their son Miles Theodore Stephens.
And their lush new pad set them back an eye-watering £6.7 million.
The stunning property is said to be located in Manhattan's Nolita neighbourhood, where the duo used to live in 2016.
Boasting three bedrooms, the 2,610 square-foot apartment, is the ideal size for their expanding family.
The penthouse features wooden flooring, exposed brick and ceiling-to-floor windows giving the space lots of light.
And of course no home owned by Chrissy could have a below par kitchen.
The cookbook author can hone her culinary skills in the plush kitchen which comes fitted with Miele features and a huge marble counter, perfect for hosting.
The model, who's second cookbook is due to be released, took to of the follow-up to her hugely successful Cravings in 2016.
Known for her love of hosting, Chrissy and her crooner husband can entertain guests on the 1,800-square-foot rooftop terrace as they take in the view of the New York skyline.
Although, at least for now, the couple presumably have their hands full with their new tot.
Newborn Miles is brother to elder sister, two-year-old, Luna.
And the Lip Sync star admitted struggling to name the new tot.
During a recent interview Chrissy told E! News: "Names are tough. What I learned was never share your ideas.
"If you have a name idea, somebody is going to be like 'No, I knew a person by that name in high school and they were gross.' That always happens."
The 32-year-old has been vocal about their struggles with fertility in the past.
In a 2016 magazine interview she said: "The big question was why this wasn’t working for us when I was young and he was healthy."
She added: "I thought, people get pregnant by accident all the time! How does this happen?"
The star has been open about her decision to do IVF and her selection of a boy for the gender of her second child.
She previously wrote on Twitter: “Since this is coming up again, I said our next baby would be a boy because that is the embryo we have left. A boy. So. Yeah."

And last year she responded to a troll who asked: “@chrissyteigen did you give it a minute to try naturally or are you avoiding 'the act?'"
She wrote: “Hi Linda, thanks for asking, you complete witch. I tried for about 9 years. Anything else, let me know!”
