Emmerdale shock as Debbie Dingle shot by Ross Barton in horror scenes
Debbie walked into Home Farm at exactly the wrong time and received a bullet for her troubles
DEBBIE Dingle has been left fighting for her life after being shot in Emmerdale.
Fans were left fearing for the mechanic's life tonight after she walked in on Ross Barton taking Joe Tate and Graham Foster hostage to murder the multi-millionaire and was promptly shot.
As Joe desperately fought to get the gun from a murderous Ross, it went off in the struggle and the two men looked on in horror at what had happened.
Viewers watched as Ross discovered Joe had paid drug dealer Simon £100,000 in the aftermath of the acid attack, and jump to the conclusion that it was to pay him to attack Ross.
He then bought a gun from a shady underworld contact and took Graham Foster hostage.
Ross tied the bodyguard and former SAS soldier up before lying in wait for Joe to return to Home Farm.
When he did he threatened him with the gun and tried to force him to confess to organising the acid attack.
However with Joe protecting Debbie's secret, to the tune of the £100,000 he paid Simon to keep quiet about her involvement, he wouldn't give Ross the answers he wanted.
Even when he hinted that Ross wasn't the intended target, Ross refused to listen and chillingly told the businessman he was going to kill him.
Aiming the gun, Graham and Joe sprang up desperate to stop him.
But in the struggle it went off and now Debbie has been left fighting for her life.
Next week Cain Dingle is going to be consumed with revenge and demand blood from whoever was responsible for shooting his daughter.
