CORONATION Street fans went wild as Gary Windass picked up a baseball bat and headed straight to Pat Phelan’s caravan.
He managed to track the murderer down to his new home in North Wales with the help of a pal and is now out to get his revenge.
Viewers said they were on the edge of their seats when Gary first arrived.
One fan tweeted: “Gary you stupid boy!”
Another wrote: “No Gary! Just call the police!”
While a third jokingly told their Twitter followers: “Come on Gary, it's hardly the weather for a game of rounders, just call the cops.”
Bosses were careful not to give the game away however, with fans having to wait until next week to find out whether Gary will give Phelan a beating.
Earlier this month, we revealed how Phelan’s exit storyline would play out and can confirm his reign of terror will end when he either loses either his life or his liberty in a tense standoff.
Teasing the dramatic scenes, actor Connor McIntyre, who plays Phelan, added: “What other way could it be?”
“I haven’t seen it yet. I thought I’d watch it with the viewers.”
Speaking about the twisted character, Connor said Phelan was the most evil he’d ever played.
He told : “He’s a dangerous narcissist. And he has no capacity for empathy.”

Talking about his exit, he added: “This is Pat Phelan wounded and spiteful, so he does something spiteful to Eileen that dismantles the whole love thing.
“He doesn’t make a lie of anything that they’ve felt in their relationship in the past because he does love her, but he does say something very spiteful.
“He wants to hurt her because he is hurt. This is the last stand.”
