Daniel Craig to land a bumper £50million pay day for starring in new Bond movie to earn £357,000 for every minute he’s onscreen
DANIEL Craig will earn an estimated £50million to play James Bond for the next film in the famous franchise.
The actor, 50, will bank an estimated £357,000 a minute for his final 007 movie, after claiming he would rather "slit his wrists" than reprise the role for a fifth time.
This time, however, he will also receive an executive producer credit, as well as endorsements and profits, and this is thought to be the reason why his pay check is far higher than the £37million he received for Spectre.
Filming is due to begin in December and last for five months, with the release date thought to be in autumn 2019.
While the film is yet to be given a title, it has been confirmed that Danny Boyle will direct the movie.
A source in Los Angeles told the : "Daniel is raring to go out with a bang alongside Danny.
"They have been talking already about their visions and the practicalities once the cameras start rolling in December at Pinewood.
“Daniel is worth every penny given that Spectre made over £700million and Skyfall over £900million before they sold DVD, streaming and TV rights.”
The revelation comes just weeks after Daniel's pregnant wife Rachel Weisz showed off her growing baby bump while out in New York.
She glowed in a long dress with a pink floral pattern on it.
The 48-year-old actress kept things comfy by teaming the dress with a pair of flat white trainers.
Rachel could be seen walking to the home she shares with Daniel in the city.
He was also spotted arriving at the couple's home on the same day.
The couple - who married in 2011 - announced they were expecting their first child together last month
