Made in Chelsea star Binky Felstead reveals her daughter’s nursery was ruined by flooding in thunder storm
MADE in Chelsea's Binky Felstead has revealed how her daughter's nursery was ruined by flooding following Saturday night's thunder storm.
The UK was struck by more than 62,000 bolts of lightning last night while Binky and her family enjoyed a holiday in the Isle of Wight.
But when they returned today, they discovered the storm had caused flooding which had ruined her daughter India's bedroom.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, she filmed the damage in her home, which saw the floor covered in dark black sludge and water.
Highlighting the problem in India's room, she wrote: "Thanks to last night's storm" before tagging in Thames Water.
She also tweeted the water company with the picture of India's nursery, writing: "'Sorry @thameswater getting worried no one is going to show up ... can you let me know how long you're going to be to sort this out."
She then took to Instagram to share a picture of India having fun in the sun in the garden, sitting close to a white tent in some swimming knickers.
She captioned it: "At least someone has no idea of the nightmare that’s going on back at ours ... her nursery is ruined as is all of the bottom floor of our place 🙈 Thank you for that last nights storm !"
To add insult to injury, Binky and boyfriend Josh Patterson had only just had their home renovated.
More than 62,000 lightning bolts struck Britain on Saturday night, with BBC weatherman Tomasz Schafernaker tweeted about the dramatic skies over the capital.

"That was one adrenaline-gagging-meteorologically-sickening-bonkers-conkers-electrifying sky show. "I’ve never seen a storm with such frequent lightning in my life."
