Love Island’s Tyla Carr reveals contestants are allowed only one alcoholic drink a night
LOVE Island contestants will be limited to one drink a night this series – only getting a second for big events.
Star of last year’s series Tyla Carr, 24, says she only got a glass of bubbly a night and revealed if she got an extra one she knew something big was happening.
The Sun’s Bizarre column can reveal producers will monitor the amount of drinks islanders have for this year’s series with one a night the usual amount they will get.
Tyla said: “There’s one drink a night.
“And you know something’s happening because you’re allowed an extra drink.
“You know when something’s about to go down.”
The brunette beauty also admitted filming for the big events like recouplings would often take hours as stars would mess about and not take it seriously.
She even admitted to being one of the islanders told off by producers.
Speaking at last week’s Bromley Boys premiere, Tyla said “People kept laughing or someone would say something stupid. One of us would go, ‘merh’. Just ridiculous.
“We got so told off. They’d say over the tannoy, ‘can you please be quiet’.
“It’s an intense two minutes worth of TV but we’re there for an hour at least and you have to pause before you say someone or pick someone and that can take a good five minutes, you have to stand there and look at everyone.
“The producers will go, ‘Tyla stop laughing, stop smirking, stop doing this, stop doing that’.
“It is difficult. It’s not the easiest of nights. We all dread them.”
