The actress, 53, was won praise after leaving viewers in tears with her portrayal of grieving mum Carmel as she attempts to take her own life.

Bonnie's character Carmel has been left devastated by the death of her youngest son Shakil, who was stabbed to death in shocking scenes last week.
She was dealt a double blow tonight when she found her elder son Kush is still thinking about moving away to Dubai despite his brother's death.
The grieving mum was so heartbroken by the thought of being left totally alone she attempted to take an overdose.
However, after falling to the floor she found Shakil's prized wristwatch, which has been missing since his murder, and it convinced her she didn't really want to die.

She rushed to the bathroom and started throwing up as frantic Kush called an ambulance.
Viewers were blown away by Bonnie's incredible acting skills and they flocked to Twitter to call for Bonnie to be given an award.
One wrote: "If @bonnie_langford doesn't win every soap award possible for her performance then something is seriously wrong..."
