Boy George claims Victoria Beckham called him a ‘b****’ and told him to ‘f*** off’ after he asked for her autograph
The Voice Australia judge recounted the hilarious story to Kyle and Jackie O. This comes after years of the Karma Chameleon singer dissing the Spice Girls
BOY George is as well-known for his acerbic tongue as he is for his quirky fashion sense and melodic tunes.
And living up to his reputation, he revealed to a radio show how Victoria Beckham wrote a damning note to him when he asked her for an autograph.
The Voice Australia judge told Kyle and Jackie O about the hilarious incident on their KIIS 1065 radio show.
Victoria is hardly known for her smiley persona and jolly disposition - and on this occasion she certainly lived up to her Posh Spice namesake.
George recalled: "She’s a little bit more serious now isn’t she, but this was a fun moment in her life.
"I nabbed her at a radio station and said will you write something funny on this for me and she wouldn’t write what I asked her to write, but she wrote, "To the b***h, f**k off!"''
Posh's snappy note may have been tongue-in-cheek at that moment, but it wouldn't be entirely uncalled-for if it wasn't a joke.
George has openly slated Victoria's claim-to-fame the Spice Girls for years and even went so far as to ban one of his The Voice acts from performing a rendition of one of the girl band's famous tunes.
George forbade Vangelis from singing their ballad Viva Forever in the competition's knockout stage in 2016 before mouthing-off the best-selling female group of all time.
The Karma Chamoleon singler hissed: "The Spice Girls are awful. I hate them. They’ve just got nothing to say.
"Girl power. Yeah, and what the f*** is girl power? F*** the Spice Girls."
If that wasn't quite enough, he added:"They are a cynical corporate creation and proof that a good stylist is more important than a good melody."
Perhaps Posh's steely pout at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding was brought on by her remembering these comments from 2016.
The fashion designer drew criticism for her serious demeanour and miserable expression.
She later denied to the that nerves played a part in her pouting: "I wasn't nervous, no. I was just really honoured to have been invited. I would have been nervous if it had been my day."
She cleared up any questions of sulkiness on her part by adding: "It was such a beautiful, incredible wedding. It was just the best day. They looked so happy, and everybody was just so happy for them. "
