Love Island 2018 host Caroline Flack hints there could be a surprise gay romance in the villa
LOVE Island host Caroline Flack has hinted there could be a surprise gay romance in the villa.
The 38-year-old, who presents the popular ITV2 show, is keen to mix things up and hasn’t ruled out a same sex couple.
Speaking to the about the chance, she said: “I don’t see any reason why not.”
While Iain Stirling, who does the voiceover for the show, added: “Anyone can enter... it totally could happen.”
A source told the paper: “It’s a question which keeps being raised so there could be potential further down the line.”
Earlier this year it was claimed that the villa was opening up it's doors to gay and lesbian couples for the first time.
However it was later denied and currently 11 straight singletons have entered the house.
Bisexual contestants including Sophie Gradon and Katie Salmon have both previously featured on the show, however they weren't allowed to officially couple up with members of the same sex.
Instead they were told to pair up with a boy in a bid to win the £50,000 cash prize.
Despite this, the pair were seen hooking up on air regardless of their official partners.
Love Island kicked off tonight and viewers were amazed by how sexy the new line-up are, and they have already been predicting their favourites to win.
Hunky Niall was a massive with with the ladies at home, and many are convinced he's going to take the Love Island crown with Blackpool beauty queen Kendall.
One wrote: "@LoveIsland Kendall & Niall to win #Kiall #LoveIsland #SaidItHereFirst"
Another tweeted: "Right Adam definitely wins #LoveIsland."
A second added: "I’ve decided Kendall and Niall to win based on the fact they love Harry Potter #soznotsoz #LoveIsland."
A third tweeted: "Kendall and niall are defo gonna win #loveisland."
The first episode had nudity as hunky Adam stripped off, tears as Dani Dyer cried and a break-up as Laura dumped Alex within minutes of their coupling.
Caroline sat down with a pizza to watch the show with Iain and joked: "We have out five couples. What could possibly go wrong?"
