Jane Laurie was born in Australia in 1952.
She comes from a wine-making family, and her father pioneered the wine-in-a-box boom of the 1980s.
The 66-year-old is known for her roles in The Return of the Soldier, Foreign Body and The Agatha Christie Hour.
Jane and Laurie met at a London stage school in 1977.
Initially, Jane had more success than Leslie, but she gave up acting when they had their first child and has kept almost entirely out of the public eye since.

Jane Laurie married Leslie Grantham in 1981, and they have three grown-up children - Spike, Jake and Danny.
Their relationship appeared to survive an online sex scandal in 2004 that killed off Grantham's EastEnders career.
But after 31 years of marriage the couple divorced in 2013.
On June 15, 2018, it was announced that Leslie had passed away at the age of 71.
