Why did Matthew Wright leave The Wright Stuff?
Matthew Wright presented his last episode of The Wright Stuff on Thursday June 14, 2018.
He confirmed the date of his last appearance with a Twitter post which read: "Last week of me on @5WrightStuff - 18+ years comes to an end Thursday!"
The TV host announced he was leaving the show in May after reportedly clashing with the production team.
However he has stated that his decision to leave was based on a desire to have a better work/life balance so he could spend more time with wife Amelia.
Who's taking over as the new presenter of The Wright Stuff?
Jeremy Vine will take over as the new host of The Wright Stuff in September 2018.
He has previously presented shows on Radio 2 as well as Eggheads and Crimewatch.
Jeremy said: “Matthew Wright has built a brilliant show that’s a big part of the British TV landscape.
"I’m delighted to be carrying on all the conversations he has started, with all the guests he’s made me feel I know over the years."
On June 18, 2018 Claudia Liza-Armah is presenting the show with the help of booth girl Storm Huntley.

What will The Wright Stuff be called now?
Channel 5 have not yet announced what the new name of The Wright Stuff.
This is the first time that the show will be renamed since it first aired 18 years ago.
Viewers on Twitter have speculated as to what the new programme will be called.
Suggestions include "Super chat", "Tabloid Fighters" and "The Vine Stuff."
