But unlucky-in-love Alex needs to take a leaf out of George's book as he's struggled to win over the girls in the villa.

Last night we saw him fail to pair up with Megan Barton Hanson who chose Eyal Booker in the first recoupling last night.

The 27-year-old A&E doctor has not yet revealed his famous ancestor on the show, who was elected Liberal MP for Caernarvon at the same age.

But Alex is clearly proud of his heritage, posting a picture of a David Lloyd George exhibit to social media.

In an Instagram post of the Imperial War Museum display he wrote: "A strange moment to be stood looking at a section of the imperial war museum dedicated to your ancestor."

Liberal leader David Lloyd George was a revolutionary social reformer.

Who was David Lloyd George?

DAVID Lloyd George is said to be one of the 20th century’s most famous radicals.

He was also the first and only Welshman to hold the office of Prime Minister.

In 1890 he was elected Liberal MP for Caernarvon, aged 27.

During his career he was promoted to Chancellor and went on to introduce state pensions for the first time and declare a war on poverty.

During the war, he worked as Minister for Munitions, organising and inspiring the war effort.

After forming a government in December 1916, George was hailed the man who had won the war, and in 1918 the coalition won a huge majority.

In 1944 he was made Earl Lloyd-George of Dwyfor, and died the following year aged 82.

He is buried on the banks of the River Dwyfor.

He now works as an A&E doctor at University Hospital Lewisham.

A spokesman from the Lloyd George Society said: "We did some enquiries and members of the family and they confirmed that he was descended from Lloyd George."
