Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins reveals she ‘kicks’ Piers Morgan under the table as she admits it’s ‘intensely frustrating’ when he ‘hums during the news bulletin’

Good Morning Britain star Charlotte Hawkins has revealed she "kicks" Piers Morgan under the table when he interrupts her live on air.

The presenter, 43, has admitted she finds the controversial journalist, 53, "intensely frustrating"; when he "hums during her news report".

Charlotte, who recently attended Royal Ascot with Piers, opened up about her true feelings towards her colleague in the new issue of the .

She told them: "It can be intensely frustrating when he cuts in and interrupts. It’s hard to get a word in edgeways.”

When asked if she kicks him under the table, she replied: “Yeah, the whole time.

“He should have black and blue ankles. He deserves them. He would just ignore it.

"I try and glare at him, but he’s oblivious to the things most people would pick up on. there’s only so far you can go when the cameras are on without resorting to complete physical violence.

“He hums as well when I’m doing my news bulletin. That can be very irritating."

Last month Goods Morning Britain fans were left outraged after Piers interrupted the end of a report on the anniversary of the Manchester bombings this morning to talk about an Instagram picture.

Viewers were fuming as the TV star forced Charlotte to pause the end of her news briefing so he could announce he had found a snap Shirley Ballas had posted of them.

After finishing up talking about the first anniversary of the deadly Manchester bombings, a serious-looking Charlotte said: "That is our top..."

However, she was forced to suddenly stop and turn her gaze away from the camera as Piers loudly began to speak over her.

Brandishing his phone, Piers announced: "Just looking at Shirley Ballas. She Instagrammed a picture of us.

"'You never know who you'll bump into at Chelsea Flower Show...''"
