Who is Sam Claflin?
Sam Claflin, 32, is a British actor - he was born in Ipswich and grew up in Norwich.
He has two older brothers, Benjamin and Daniel, and a younger brother, Joseph, who is also an actor.
As a child he aspired to be a professional footballer but after he broke his ankle he decided to pursue acting.
He graduated from the LAMDA performing arts school in London in 2009.
What films has Sam Claflin starred in?
In 2016 Sam played quadriplegic (Will Traynor) alongside Emilia Clarke in Me Before You - a film adapted from the novel by JoJo Moyes about a paralysed man who falls in love with his care assistant.
He also starred in Love, Rosie - a romantic comedy adapted from the Cecelia Ahern book Where Rainbows End.
Other notable roles include Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games franchise and Philip Swift in Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Sam has also played Captain Stanhope in the disaster movies Journey's End (2017) and Adrift (2018).
