Piers tweeted his horror at his son’s picture this evening after sports reporter Spencer tweeted him and said: “Sorry @piersmorgan…”

Horrified, Piers hit back: “You’re not going IN there... are you?!!!?”

Last week Piers admitted Spencer was good pals with Charlie Frederick but didn’t save him from a battering when he appeared on GMB.

His fans thought the exchange between the father and son was hilarious, with one telling Piers: “OMG how will you live this down?”

Yesterday morning Piers was told off by Susanna Reid after calling Rosie Williams a “halfwit”.

Piers told her: “Rosie. You achieved a postgraduate master of law degree from the University of Law in Chester, and you've given up all that to go into a villa full of halfwits to try and have sex on national TV.

“Why would you do that?"

Rosie replied: “It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that came my way.”
