FANS are predicting a romance for the former frenemies after sparks flew when they reunited after Matty's transition
EMMERDALE viewers are predicting a romance for Matty Barton and Victoria Sugden after the two former friends struck up a flirty friendship after Matty's reunion.
Matty - who was last seen in the village as Hannah Barton - has stayed away from his family in order to transition but when he returned last night to get his birth certificate, he was caught by Cain Dingle.

But after being kicked out by his mother Moira who struggled to accept his transition, he found a place to stay in Victoria's van and when the former frenemies reunited viewers definitely saw sparks flying.
One wrote: "Why have I got a feeling Matty and Victoria will end up together? #emmerdale"
Another added: "Matty and Vic are just wonderful #emmerdale"
A third tweeted: "I'm still thinking Matty and Vic would make a good couple but also they're great as mates so I don't mind. I just love their chemistry together. #Emmerdale"

Emmerdale's Moira Barton tells her transgender son Matty to leave and not come back
Last night Matty was knocked out by Cain who didn't recognise his step-son, but after threatening him and preparing to attack him, Moira arrived just in time.
"Hiya mum," said Matty and Moira immediately recognised her son.
But far from the happy family reunion viewers expected, Moira couldn't handle Matty as Matty and even tried to keep him away from baby Isaac because he would "confuse him".
"You look so different," Moira said as she struggled with Matty's emotional reveal.

"I'm living as a man now, as Matty, because that's who I am mum," he told her.
But when Matty revealed that he had been living just over the Pennines in Manchester in order to transition Moira refused to see it froim his perspective and kept calling him Hannah instead even when he asked her not to.
"Oh so I've let you down, I've disappointed you, well join the club Hannah," she said again.
But as Matty tried to say hello to his little brother Isaac, Moira sent him away with Faith, devastating Matty who tried to tell his mother that being trans "wasn't catching".

"I just don't want you confusing him," she said before ordering him out of the house.
"You lied to me, again and again," she said adding: "The Hannah I knew wouldn't have lied, and wouldn't have cheated me out of all these years without telling me why.
"I'm trying really but all I can think is how awful you've been. You missed Holly's funeral, I had to come to you when Adam was on the run. You knew I really needed you and you still stayed away when you were so close.
"You just didn't care so you should go, it's what you want and you only do what you want these days.

Viewers were sickened by Moira's reaction to her son and took to social media to slam her behaviour.
One wrote: "Moira I know you're in shock but stop being so f***ing transphobic."
A second added: "Moira needs to realise that this just isn't about her...she has a son who needs his mum at the most vulnerable time in his life. Rejection was the one thing he feared and now Moira seems to be doing just that #Emmerdale"
