Paddy McGuinness rules out more kids with wife Christine but says he’s focusing on her and supporting her ‘in everything she does’ after rocky six months
PADDY McGuinness says he won't be having any more kids with his wife Christine as he says they're both "too busy".
The 44-year-old telly favourite has ruled out adding to their family of five, including twins Penelope and Leo, four, and 21-month-old Felicity, while Christine focuses on her career.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online's Big Interview, Paddy admitted more kids are off the cards: "There are no plans at the minute to have any more kids.
"We're way too busy for that!"
But instead the Lancashire born star revealed they're focusing on spending quality time together as a family after a hectic year.
The pair were thrust into the spotlight at the start of the year after he was pictured arm-in-arm on a night out with All Saints singer Nicole Appleton back in February.
Today, Paddy is keeping fiercely tight-lipped about it all, but there is no doubt that the couple have put it all behind them.
Christine is now a TV star too as a Real Housewife of Cheshire and is relishing her time in the spotlight after years of letting Paddy take the lead.
But he's over the moon for her and isn't worried if she spills the beans on their marriage to the nation.
He said: "No no, she won't embarrass me at all. Christine does her own thing and I will always support her."
The down-to-earth pair are devoted to their twins, who are autistic, and Paddy admits that while it's busy they make it work by sharing the load.
"It's just balancing it, so we're not on the road at the same time ... we both share the school run."
"It is very busy. It seems like we have a lot on but at the minute we've got quite a bit of time at home, so we're going to try and enjoy the weather. Do all the days out over the school holidays. And we'll do weekends away and that sort of thing."
The proof was in the pudding when he did the unthinkable for a footie fan and skipped the World Cup England v Panama game on Sunday for a day out with Christine and the kids.
He admitted: "That was difficult, I said 'that will never happen again for the World Cup for England, ever!'
"As me wife said, 'You can watch it if you want', but when your wife says that you know you can't watch it.
"So we went to Knowlsey Safari Park with the kids and it was a lovely day so it was all good. You can go one way or another where the monkeys jump all over the car, the kids love all that."
Though he'd love to be with the family all of the time, duty calls, as Paddy confirms he's been secretly working on more Take Me Out special episodes.
He said: "The over 50s show were great. What went really well as well was the male only version, so we're definitely going to do a couple of more specials this year."
But, telly's Mr Cupid, incredibly, confesses he doesn't watch the nation's biggest dating obsession - Love Island.
By some miracle, he says he's never caught an episode.
He said: "I've genuinely never seen it! For no reason at all it's just one of those programmes I've never had on. I'll go to something and they'll say, 'There's this one and that one here from Love Island' and I haven't got a clue who they are. I've just never watched it."
This week Paddy, Jamie Redknapp and Peter Crouch turned up in Birmingham to deliver McDonald's to football fans.
The trio pulled the stunt to spread the news that McDonald’s UK expanding its McDelivery service.
Telling us about his day out with the lads, he said: "When they were saying that we're going to deliver McDonalds in the World Cup I said, 'How are you going cope? Everyone will be wanting that!'
"We all had denim shirts on. We called ourselves triple denim. Even though we all had the same outfit Jamie will always look better than you.
"We went to a restaurant and served people at the drive through and people were ordering and had me, Jamie or Peter giving it to them. Peter Crouch got stuck with the drinks machine. I said it is difficult having to press a button isn't it? Of course we filled our boots too!"
