Who is Savanna Darnell? Love Island 2018 star, dancer from Sheffield and Kid Creole’s daughter
LOVE Island 2018 has been as dramatic and action-packed as fans could have hoped for - and it's only going to get better.
Savanna Darnell is one of the new girls to arrive in the villa on this year's show. From her previous relationships to how she makes a living, here's the inside track on the girl from the Steel City.
Who is Savanna Darnell?
Savanna Darnell, 22, is from Sheffield and makes her money as a singer and dancer.
She is the daughter of August Darnell, an American musician who performs as Kid Creole and is best known for co-founding Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band before later forming Kid Creole and the Coconuts.
The dancer had been in three long-term relationships before agreeing to enter the show, although she's been single for a while.
And she actually got a very early introduction to fame after she featured on the packaging of nappies as a baby.
What has Savanna said about going on Love Island?
Speaking ahead of entering the house, Savanna described herself as "quite silly" and that she's looking for someone she can be herself around.
She said: "I get on with people very easily. I'm confident. I didn't use to be, I was very shy.
"I don't know where it came from but I became confident over time. I was on tour for a while meeting lots of people so maybe that helped."
On the type of guy she likes, Savanna has one golden rule.
"He can be the fittest guy ever, but if he can't make me laugh, there's no point," she warns.
"You need to have great chat, banter and a great personality. I'm really into activity dates - something fun.
And any of the guys fancying their chances had better have packed their toothbrush as the 22-year-old can't stand guys with bad breath.
