Love Island fans confused after Sam Bird goes missing from the villa for 50 mins of last night’s show

LOVE Island fans were confused after Sam Bird went missing from the villa for most of last night's episode.

The personal trainer entered the villa last week and ruffled some feathers by making a dig at Adam Collard.

But fast forward a week and Sam, 25, was almost completely absent from last night's episode, only appearing for the first time 15 minutes before the end of the show.

Sam was seen by viewers sitting alongside partner Samira Mighty as Caroline Flack revealed they had been saved by the public.

Sam then had the tough decision alongside Jack Fincham, Josh Denzel and Wes Nelson over which girl to send home, with the men eventually settling on Zara McDermott.

Sam's lack of air time didn't go unnoticed by viewers, who took to Twitter to question where he'd been all episode.

One wrote: "Is Sam (Bird) even in this episode #LoveIsland" while a second asked: "Anyone else wondered where Sam has been all night until the end?"

A third added: "Also...there was not enough of Sam in tonight's episode. Where is the Bird?"

In fact, many viewers admitted they had totally forgotten he was even there due to his lack of screen time.

One wrote: "ngl I forgot sam was even in the villa until they were all sat around the fire pit, I was like OH YEAH #LoveIsland."

A second fan of the show agreed, tweeting: "I just took it in that the first time I seen Sam's face was towards the end during elimination #loveisland."

A third added: "Birdman Sam doesn't talk? He's so fit. I wanna see more of him."

Meanwhile the remaining girls chose to send home Eyal Booker and save Adam Collard and Dr Alex George.

The decision left viewers shocked, with many expecting the boys to send Muggy Megan Barton-Hanson home after stealing Wes from Laura Anderson.
